Actor Aadhi Pinisetty is playing the lead in the Tamil remake of Telugu blockbuster hit RX 100 and he is also producing the film. In an exclusive chat with him, he unveils his ideas behind the remake.
What did you like the most in the film?
I liked the climax which is something not usual and routine. I liked the way it was written and the screen play. For example, Neevevvaro would have been a hit if the climax was a little better and exciting. That was a big mistake actually. As individuals, all of us like something genuine and want to be polluted. I have seen that in the character of Shiva. His love is not polluted and that is true love. I so much want to be Shiva.
Why did you choose to remake RX 100?
I heard a lot about the film and that’s when I watched it. It was something unlike other films and has such a story that all of us needed. Like every coin has two sides, individuals too have. In this film, the heroine has and we have never watched something like this. It is shown that they too have a negative side and that can change lives. It is based on a true story and what else do we need for a remake. Love and revenge are universal concepts.
Any minor changes will be made in the plot?
The soul of the plot will remain the same. The only thing that would be changed will be nativity. It will be according and in the backdrop of Tamil Nadu. Not many changes will be made. What the hero and the character of daddy will be doing has to be something that Tamil speaking people can relate easily. That’s it.
Can Aadhi be called a commercial hero or just an artiste whose energy can drive the film?
My way of looking at commercial films is different. I want my producer to get all the money he invested in me. I am working on my flaws and will soon make some films playing the protagonist. And yes, I will also be an artiste whose energy can drive films.
